Sumsuch - Fall With Me (feat. Matty Eeles)

Moving ever closer to their long awaited debut album, Colour and Pitch founder Sumsuch and vocalist Matty Eeles join forces once again for another slice of languid Deep House. Digging out the vintage keyboards, Sumsuch lays down a simple, melodic track full of shimmering synths and smooth percussion. Matty’s heartfelt vocals paint a vivid picture of a troubled relationship: ‘the changing colours, like tides of the sea, have turned to autumn, come fall with me’.

Sumsuch - Find Home feat. Matty Eeles

Colour and Pitch founder Sumsuch has had a busy year, with his ‘Mega Jawns’ project releasing their debut album on BBE Records last autumn. Finding some time to focus on solo material in 2015, he’s returned to the studio with long time friend and collaborator Matty Eeles, working (slowly) towards an album. ‘Find Home’ is a melodic, warm and languid slice of Deep House, with a typically stellar vocal performance from Matty Eeles. A ‘Voxtramental’ mix is also included, retaining an ethereal vocal refrain whilst bringing Sumsuch’s subtle musical touches into sharper focus.

For Fans of: Zero 7, Miguel Migs, HVOB, Vincenzo, Joris Voorn.

Finest Wear - Shuttering Leaves

Finest Wear’s long awaited second release on Colour and Pitch comes exactly a year after his debut ‘Distant Memories’, which drew support and praise from Ralf GUM, Robert Owens, Shur I Kan and many more for its laid back, classic house feel. Under his previous guise of Mr Cenzo, the London producer has been making waves in the deep house scene for many years, but with this new name and signature sound, his musical creativity has truly blossomed.

A personal and emotional journey, the ‘Shuttering Leaves’ EP explores themes of loss, love, our connection to nature and the changing of the seasons, whilst remaining deeply rooted in classic deep house tradition. Touching, hypnotic and beautifully realized, each track builds slowly and subtly throughout, somehow feeling both brand new and comfortably familiar at the same time.

Lovingly mixed and premastered using analogue equipment, we truly hope you’re as enchanted as we are by Finest Wear’s four magical tales of dark woodlands, bleak mountainsides and hidden places.

The EP is out Now exclusively on Beatport - October 2nd on all stores.

Early feedback:

"really enjoyed these tracks!" - Hackman

"nice tunes. Over The Mountain and One Chance are my favourite." - Shur-i-kan

"Bouncy Trees is the one for me. Nice work mates!!!" - Myles Serge

"Perfection is the word that sums it up! I'm once again so pleasantly stunned by the work of Cenzo it just fills completely my desiring senses for such deep sound. Thanks a million for sending this jewel over. Big respectful compliments for this release. It will be, of course, fully supported. Cheers!" - DJ Di Costa

Sumsuch - Live Now feat. Matty Eeles

Colour and Pitch’s third outing sees label founder Sumsuch reconnect with long time vocal collaborator Matty Eeles for an uplifting slice of deep house music. Following the success of last year's "This Old Town," a fundraising single for mental health charity Mind, the duo headed straight back into the studio. The result is another vocal-backed slice of melodic, evocative, string-laden magic.

Matty's soaring vocal range and beautiful lyrics deftly transform what was a deeply personal instrumental track - originally dedicated to a lost love - into a stirring call of “live now, not what has been.” Both a Vocal Mix and ’Blue Coat’ Instrumental are included in the release.

The first remix comes from Swiss production powerhouse Da Funk, a dream artist for the label. With releases on Anjunadeep, Pacha, and many other great labels to his name, quality and consistence has made him a credible name for house music. His 'La Boheme’ version adds some blissful rays of warm sunshine, dropping the tempo down into beach-lounging territory whilst retaining many elements of the original, only slightly accented by his own special touches.

The second remix comes from Minotaurs, a rather special and often rare Helsinki recording duo better known by its individual parts: local hero Sachrias and transient performer Sumsuch. Since remixing Ricky Ryan's incredible "4 The Love" back in 2011, the pair have been laying down tracks every time Sumsuch visits Finland to DJ. Aimed squarely at the dance-floor with its growling bass line, this simple but effective arrangement is the product of a single joyful afternoon in the studio on a hot summer's day in 2013.

'Live Now' is out on Monday March 10th 2014, exclusively on Beatport. Click HERE to grab your copy.
